Fog Holler in San Jose

Friday night at Art Boutiki will feature a smattering of the best bluegrass from way out yonder. Leading the show is Fog Holler, a color-coordinated bluegrass outfit originally from Portland, Oregon. Inspired by such diverse acts as Buck Owens and Primus, the Fog Holler quartet brings the familiar backwoods sound with touches of modernity, resulting in music that reanimates the ghosts of bluegrass past in a refreshing way. Also featured on the bill is Brent Pierce and his Acid Grass Boys, based out of Santa Cruz, who play at blinding speeds, captivating audiences with their down-home charm.
